After spending ten years growing and developing a private practice in healthcare, it became increasingly important to me to give back to those who were in need the most.

This eventually led me to a monastery in rural Nepal for an entire month.  I took everything I could possibly need for a month, and off I went to help as many people as I possible!

Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Moastery is located at the sacred pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha, Nepal. It is home to more than 250 monks and includes a monastic college, a school for young monks and a Tibetan Medical clinic.

Treatments are provided to anyone who can make it to the clinic.  They come from hours away to receive treatment, and so this rural clinic is counted on for so many people who would have no access or the financial ability to receive treatment in the capital city of Kathmandu.

Treating on average of 50 patients per day, I realized one thing - I wanted to be able to do this again!

From the moment I met John Thomas, I was able to see the opportunity in keeping a great brand, with a storied history going as well as provide the means by which I would be able to make my way back to rural parts of the world and provide healthcare for those in need.

So when you purchase and support MiniBrew ®, you are also helping others who are greatly appreciative for your support! Homebrew Crew, I cannot thank you enough.

Without further ado...

Welcome to the Hobby Beverage Equipment Company, proud makers of MiniBrew™. We are a US based, Family Owned Company proudly making our Tanks in Southern California. We have shipped all over the world since 1997, with distributors in Canada, the UK and Australia. Small batch brewers such as Home Brewers, Brewpubs, Distillers, Home Wine Makers and Wineries are our primary market. More recently, our tanks are being used in research laboratories, medical facilities and even in the environmental sciences.

Our EZ Seal Weldless Stainless Steel Bulkheads are not only used on our tanks and fermenters, but have also found their way into large farming operations, maple syrup production facilities, as well as in the manufacturing of food grade restaurant equipment.  In the Spring of 2021, the EZ Seal received patent pending status.  It is now awaiting examination for full patent status.

The least risky way to start home brewing or a brewery or brewpub is to buy small until your family, neighbors, brew club members and customers learn about your beer and like the taste. Once you make it and have more customers than you can imagine buying that fancy stainless steel ferment with the profits to reduce your risk. Don't spend all your money on a large fancy system up front.

Other than the Home Brewer, and Small Batch Commercial Breweries our Fermenters are in use by some of the Largest Wine and Beer makers in the USA. Brew Schools have also begun to use the MiniBrew ® line-up for all of the convenience reasons as well as to allow students the opportunity to begin with everything they needed, at a very reasonable price point.

Our Fermenters, Mash Tuns, Hot Liquid Tanks and the entire lineup of MiniBrew ® products are unique because they are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE).

In 1997 we manufactured the first 60 degree conical bottom fermenter. We were the first and this was a challenge. They are less expensive than stainless steel, easy to clean, and use.

The process is an evolutionary one, and we constantly innovating and improving our products.

Entering our 24th year, MiniBrew ® will announce several different Upgrades, Modifications, and Attachments! Striving for quality in brewing, this will mark the 8th time we have improved upon our own product lineup. We are Proud of this and Proud to Keep You Brewing Award Winners.

We are happy to help and encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have!
